Privacy statement
This site sets no cookies and only counts visits anonymously. Below is what I do keep when you email or call me, and what you can ask of me.
Who I am

What this site does and does not do
This site shows what I do and how to reach me. That is all it does. It does not set cookies and does not follow you to other sites. There is no embedded social media and no third-party form service.
The contact form opens your own mail program with the message filled in. The message goes from your mail program to mine. The site itself stores nothing of what you type.
Visitor statistics
To see how the site is used, visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics. It records which pages are viewed, which site a visitor came from, the country, and the type of browser, operating system and device. It does not use cookies and stores nothing on your device.
A visit is recognised by a code that Vercel derives from the request and that changes every day. That means a visitor cannot be followed from one day to the next or across other sites. I only see totals, never individual people. The party that manages this site for me sees the same totals.
The legal basis is my legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful, so I can improve the site.
When you email or call me
When you contact me, I receive what you send: your name, your company, your email address, your phone number and the content of your message. I use that to answer you and, if we agree on a job, to do the work.
The legal basis is the agreement between us, or the steps leading up to it. Where there is no agreement yet, it is my legitimate interest in answering the people who contact me.
I keep this data as long as the contact or the project needs it, and as long as the law requires me to keep it for my administration.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Vercel processes technical data in its server logs, such as your IP address and browser, to serve and secure the site. I do not use those logs to identify visitors. For how Vercel handles that data, see Vercel's privacy policy.
Sharing
I do not sell your data. Apart from the services I need to run this site and my email (the host named above and the provider that handles my email), I only share it when the law obliges me to.
Your rights
You can ask me what data I hold about you, ask for a copy, have it corrected or deleted, limit how I use it, or object to my using it. Email jeroen@jvissers.com. I respond personally, usually within one working day.
If you think I handle your data incorrectly, you can file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If the site changes in a way that touches your data, I update this page.
